Interesting. That’s a fair point; though GitHub’s editor isn’t the first to do that. I hadn’t noticed it with GitHub mainly because I use Vimium in Firefox, Evil in Emacs, and bspwm; so I rarely use Emacs-style bindings but I agree that could be frustrating. All configuration options, window rules, virtual desktops, keybindings, … can be updated live without the need to restart the window manager. every virtual desktop (called tag) consists of a tiling and a floating layer. Windows in the tiling layer fill up the screen space and the floating windows can be placed freely above them.

A long time ago my web browser of choice was Mozilla Firefox, and as most normal people I was using it primarily with my mouse and occasionally with some simple keybindings. That all changed back in 2011 when I started to get really invested in tiling window managers (and not long after a lot of text-based applications), simply because I found ...

Scriptability also means that you can easily create context sensitive keybindings and even full GUIs for bspwm. Bspwm is mostly emwh compliant. This means that unlike most tiling window managers, bspwm plays well with panels, docks and other utilities, and mostly knows what windows not to tile without needing to be told so. I'm trying to setup bspwm and I have to use sxhkd for all the keybindings, which means sxhkd will have to be run everytime I boot. I know how to use .xinitrc and .bashrc, but I was looking through the wiki and saw you could use systemd for these purposes as well.

One of most useful rofi features I have discovered is that it allows me to build keybinding help such that I am able to view all of my keybindings whenever I need to use them but can't remember them.

The game is still playable with keyboard only though (press "F1" to check keybindings). I do not use my mouse to play VNs so I did not try to fix the issue. Everything else worked perfectly. If you are looking for a fix, it may be useful to know that I am using a tiling WM (bspwm) and not a DE.
I think I have some of this set up but not all my left command commands are working inside the VM. I set Arch up with a Tiling Window manager called BSPWM. The majority of movement commands use the "Super" key which I believe to be the command key on Mac. Only some of the commands issued with Command-{something} are recognized.

The function of bspwmrc in.config/bspwm is essentially an "autostart" file. It lists commands that bspwm should run when it starts up. Now, remember, bspwm is controlled via commands, so rules which govern how bspwm behaves are located in this file.
